Emile Berton #1

Surface and coloring

A majestic soil, with its bleached surface reminiscent of a wheat field in late summer. A flattering tone that could be a century old.

The surface of Emile Berton #1 is lovingly aged with fire. Then, two coats of the highest quality water-based varnish, produced in the traditional manner, are applied. We do not use UV curing at all, which would significantly reduce production costs, but also comes with strong compromises in quality. The stain resistance of Emile Berton #1 is extremely good. Even coffee, cola, wine or even kernel oil cannot harm Emile Berton #1. However, we recommend removing liquids as quickly as possible.

Our products are carefully handmade to order especially for you. Each floor is unique and may therefore differ from the pattern!
Please note that the colors marked with * are produced with reactive stains. Reactive stains react with the tannins in the wood instead of pigments. This gives each element a natural color and thus varies. The tannin content varies from growth area to growth area and can even vary greatly within a tree. Sunlight and oxygen change the color over time.

Structure

The multi-layer construction with sawn back layer guarantees optimal stability. Our floors are specially designed for underfloor heating. The middle layer has no insulating air pockets, so a night setback also works optimally and you heat the floor surface without much loss and thus your rooms energy efficient. The planks can be installed without edge joints or disturbing transition strips. Thus, you can install it in several rooms continuously without having to worry about disturbing relief joints. The connection is made with traditional tongue and groove system to avoid the unpleasant creaking noises of click connections. On the long side, the edges are slightly chamfered. For aesthetic reasons, we do not use a chamfer on the short sides, as this visually shortens the planks, an extremely undesirable effect.

Care

Care consists primarily of vacuuming and mopping. Make sure that they use vacuum cleaner attachments suitable for parquet. You can find our cleaning and care instructions → here.
